A huge part of protecting our rivers - and the wider biodiversity - is changing the way we talk about them. We need to see them as having a right to exist in their own right, not merely as a resource of our human-centric world. Many campaigners believe this legal shift is necessary to address the high levels of pollution in our waterways, moving from treating rivers as property to respecting them as living ecosystems

So We are really, really thrilled to announce that the fantastic barrister Monica Feria-Tinta is coming to Cardigan later on this month! She'll be talking about her work on cases across the world, as well as her recent work supporting the groups on the Wye and the Ouse, as well as taking part in a Q&A session afterwards.

She is the author of the book "A Barrister for the Earth" which is out in paperback the second week of May - Browns Books of Newport will be selling them on the night. The latest news is that the book is to be made into a legal drama series for tv - a legal drama with an environmental edge!

It going to be an inspiring evening and give us all food for thought on our campaigning on the Teifi.
